Ovula ovum, commonly known as the Porcelain Ovula, is a uniquely looking marine snail, perfect for complementing a population of detritivores in a reef aquarium. It is recognized for its shiny white shell, often covered with a black mantle.
Native to the Indo-Pacific Ocean, Ovula ovum lives on rocks and substrates, where it primarily feeds on algae. Its ability to regulate microalgae makes it a valuable ally in the fight against the proliferation of undesirable algae.
This snail is completely harmless to corals and invertebrates. It is compatible with the vast majority of peaceful fish. Very discreet, it spends most of its time grazing on hard surfaces, providing natural maintenance to your tank's décor.

Temperature: between 24°C and 27°C
Water flow: moderate to strong
Ensure to provide it with enough rocky areas and surfaces to clean to guarantee its good health. It is not recommended to keep it with fish capable of breaking snail shells.
