A rare mushroom coral with spectacular hues
Scientific name: Rhodactis inchoata violet. This mushroom-type soft coral is distinguished by its unique violet to blue coloration and its singular texture. Its polyps are arranged in regular rows, extending from the central mouth to the edge of the disk, giving it a structured and very aesthetic appearance.
A coral as beautiful as it is easy to maintain
Recommended for beginner aquarists, this Rhodactis is easy to maintain and naturally reproduces in aquariums. It slowly colonizes surfaces and can be easily fragged. Ideal for reef tanks looking to host a rare, robust, and visually captivating coral.
Lighting and water flow
To thrive, this coral needs medium to strong lighting. If the light is too low, it will struggle to fully flourish. A moderate water flow is recommended to stimulate exchanges without disturbing its tissues.
Supplementary feeding
Although it is photosynthetic thanks to its zooxanthellae, this coral appreciates a regular food supplement based on brine shrimp nauplii or micro-plankton, which will promote its growth and reproduction.
