The Roller Clean is an automatic filtration device that mechanically removes suspended particles from the water column.

It effectively removes solid waste such as debris, food remnants, and organic matter before they degrade, contributing to clearer water and better system stability.

Operating principle

Water flows by gravity into the Roller Clean receptacle and passes through a filter fleece.

As the fleece becomes clogged, the water level rises until it triggers a level sensor. This sensor automatically commands the motorized drum to roll up the dirty fleece, placing a clean portion under the water flow.

The cycle repeats until the filter roll is exhausted, at which point it needs to be replaced.

Modular design and maintenance

The Roller Clean consists of two distinct elements:

– a fixed receptacle, installed on the edge of the aquarium or technical tank

– a cassette supporting the filter roll, easily removable for maintenance

Replacing the roll is simple and quick, without complex disassembly of the system.

Installation and adjustments

Thanks to its symmetrical design, the Roller Clean can be installed on either the left or right side of the technical tank.

The frequency of the fleece rolling is adjustable via the position of the level sensor.

A lower window allows for the diversion of part of the water flow to avoid excessive mechanical filtration, useful when the water becomes too low in nutrients.

Controller indications

The controller is equipped with three light indicators:

– Green LED: automatic fleece rolling in progress

– Blue LED: level sensor blocked or triggered for too long

– Red LED: motor blocked or overworked

Roller Clean filter fleece

The filter fleece is designed for use in both freshwater and marine water.

It removes solid particles responsible for the accumulation of nitrates and phosphates without removing salts, trace elements, or disrupting the operation of protein skimmers.

Its structure allows for high flow and quick drying after filtration.
