Anthelia sp. – Size S
A Living and Waving Soft Coral
The Anthelia sp. is a encrusting soft coral very popular for its light appearance and constant movement. It forms colonies of long, thin polyps, often purple or bluish, which gracefully wave in the current, mimicking the movement of an underwater field of seagrass.
An Ideal Coral for Beginners
Very easy to maintain, the Anthelia sp. is an excellent choice for beginning aquarists. It grows in mats or small clusters, covering rocks or flat areas of the reef. It is also very easy to frag and propagate in the tank.
Lighting and Water Flow
This soft coral prefers moderate to strong lighting for good development and vibrant color. It requires gentle to moderate water flow, which encourages the polyps to open without folding.
