Cladiella colti – XXL Size
A Structuring Soft Coral with a Tree-Like Appearance
The Cladiella colti is a fast-growing soft coral that forms branched and upright colonies, resembling a small underwater tree. In XXL size, this specimen is already well-developed and ready to structure an entire section of the reef decor.
A Flexible, Sturdy Coral That’s Very Easy to Maintain
Its soft and slightly grainy texture, along with its non-aggressive behavior, make it a perfect coral for beginners as well as experienced aquarists. It easily adapts to its environment, attaches firmly to rocks, and tolerates a range of parameters.
Ideal for Adding Height and Movement
Thanks to its tree-like shape, the Cladiella colti XXL is ideal for creating relief and verticality in a reef tank. Its fine polyps open wide and wave in the current, adding a natural and continuous movement to the decor.
Lighting and Water Flow
This coral appreciates moderate lighting and moderate to strong water flow, which help maintain good tissue extension while ensuring proper nutrient exchange.
Water Parameters
The Cladiella colti thrives in stable and well-oxygenated water:
- Temperature: 24–26 °C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0–8.4
- KH: 7–9 dKH
- Calcium: 400–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm
An Easy Coral to Propagate
The Cladiella colti reproduces easily through fragmentation. Each branch can be attached to a new support to create a new colony. This ease of propagation makes it an excellent coral for trading or multiplying.
