Sarcophyton glaucum
A robust and simple leather coral for all aquarists
The Sarcophyton glaucum is a soft leather-type coral, perfect for beginner aquarists. It is appreciated for its ease of maintenance, fast growth, and great tolerance to parameter variations. It forms a soft and rounded cap that regularly releases a thin film during its molting, a natural regeneration phenomenon.
A fast-growing coral that is easy to propagate
This coral develops quickly by forming beautiful rounded colonies. It is very easy to propagate: simply cut a portion of the tissue and attach it to a support, where it will easily anchor to form a new colony.
Not demanding in light and water quality
The Sarcophyton glaucum does not require strong lighting like HQI. A moderate LED or T5 lighting is sufficient for its good development. It is very tolerant of water quality, making it a reliable choice for any type of reef aquarium.
Water flow adapted to its physiology
A medium water flow is recommended, especially to facilitate the detachment of the thin film it naturally expels during its molting. This helps keep the tissues clean and optimizes the opening of the polyps.
Feeding and supplements
This coral does not require any specific feeding. However, trace element additions can promote its growth and maintain its coloration over the long term.
Water parameters
For proper maintenance, it is recommended to maintain stable water:
- Temperature: 24–26 °C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0–8.4
- KH: 7–9 dKH
- Calcium: 400–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm

vraiment toute mes félicitations
j'ai bien reçut ce jour mes coraux que je vous es commander et comme toujours des pieces magnifiques, un sarcopython merveilleux de très belle taille, et avec une santé resplendissante, d'une grande qualité, les polype sont sortie ce soir il est encore légèrement penché mais c'est tout a fait normal il faut encore du temps, vous avec pour moi les meilleurs coraux et un grand sérieux, conforme a la description ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas ailleurs ;-) a très bientot cordialement et merci

Après les poissons commandé chez vous, reçu de jolis spécimens. Commandé coraux mous et je suis très très satisfait . Recommande vivement ce site, juste un tout petit bémol les frais de livraison. Mais préfère de loin des frais un peu onéreux (on joue sur pas grand chose), et avoir ce que j'ai reçu. Cordialement.
