Sinularia macropodia
A Branching and Decorative Leather Coral
The Sinularia macropodia is a branching leather coral, particularly appreciated for its rapid growth and its ability to create volume in a reef aquarium. Its flexible and slender branches gracefully unfold, creating a tree-like shape and a natural movement in the current.
Easy to Maintain and Propagate
This coral is very easy to maintain and propagate, making it an excellent choice for beginners. It can be easily propagated by cutting a section of its branches and attaching it to a support to form a new colony. Its rapid growth also allows it to occupy a space in the decor quickly.
Lighting and Water Flow
The Sinularia macropodia prefers moderate to strong lighting, which allows it to develop its color and shape. A moderate water flow is recommended to allow its polyps to extend while clearing the coral's natural waste.

This Sinularia thrives in stable and well-oxygenated water:
- Temperature: 24–26 °C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0–8.4
- KH: 7–9 dKH
- Calcium: 400–450 ppm
