Sinularia polydactyla – Yellow Leather Coral
A Bright and Easy-to-Maintain Leather Coral
The Sinularia polydactyla, nicknamed the yellow leather coral, is a soft coral particularly suited for beginners. Its thick, flexible cap in bright yellow or golden color creates a luminous effect in your reef aquarium, while its fine polyps gently open with the flow of the current.
Easy to Propagate and Maintain
This coral is very easy to propagate, allowing you to quickly create multiple colonies. Simply cut a part of the disc and attach it to a support for it to fix and grow. It is also very easy to maintain, adapting well to various aquarium conditions.
Suitable Lighting and Water Flow
The Sinularia polydactyla prefers moderate lighting, ideally with LED or T5. It tolerates medium water flow well to keep the polyps open and prevent debris accumulation.
Water Parameters
This coral thrives in stable and slightly enriched water:
- Temperature: 24–26 °C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0–8.4
- KH: 7–9 dKH
- Calcium: 400–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm
