This high-sensitivity test allows for up to 50 measurements. It is based on a titration principle with an immediate color change, ensuring a clear and precise reading of the result. The indicators and titration solution are provided separately for better reliability.
Rinse the sampling container several times with aquarium water.
Draw 5 ml of aquarium water using the plastic syringe and pour it into the container.
Add 2 drops of the CH-1 reagent and gently swirl. The sample will turn blue.
Hold the CH-2 dropper bottle vertically and add the reagent drop by drop, gently mixing until the color turns to red-orange.
Count the number of drops added. Each drop corresponds to 1 °d of carbonate hardness.
For a reef marine aquarium, a carbonate hardness between 6.5 and 8 °d is recommended.
Store the kit in a dry and cool place, at a temperature below 25°C.
Carefully close the dropper bottles after use and avoid any direct contact with the dropper tip.
