TRITON Iron Fe is a minor element supplement designed for targeted iron adjustment in reef aquarium seawater. Iron is an essential trace element for the natural metabolic mechanisms of reef systems, used exclusively within the framework of ICP-OES analysis-based maintenance.
Iron is involved in numerous essential biological processes. An appropriate concentration contributes to the proper metabolic functioning of the reef system and promotes the development of algae as well as the health, coloration, and fluorescence of soft corals SPS and LPS.
The use of iron must be carried out with caution and is reserved for experienced aquarists. The dosage must be strictly based on the results of a TRITON ICP-OES analysis.
The basic recommendation is to dose 1 ml per 500 L of water, followed by regular control through ICP-OES analysis. If the measured concentration exceeds the target value defined by the analysis, dosing should be stopped immediately.
The dosage can be gradually increased up to a maximum of three times the initial dose, maintaining the same method and rigorous analytical monitoring.
Iron can become dangerous for aquarium organisms in case of overdose. It is recommended not to make several element adjustments simultaneously to avoid any undesirable chemical interaction.
The product should be dosed in an area of strong water flow. An interval of at least 5 minutes is advised between the addition of different elements. Any sudden variation in concentration can be harmful to the aquarium inhabitants.
This product is classified as intermediate level and is intended for users who are proficient in using ICP-OES analyses and targeted trace element supplementation.
