Turbelle masterstream 6550 – Tunze

The Turbelle masterstream 6550 is a high-flow circulation pump designed for large aquariums of over 5,000 liters. Combining power, silence, and energy efficiency, it provides stable and natural water circulation while reducing electrical consumption.

Construction and Materials

• Pump body made of technical plastics ASA, POM, and PA6.6, enriched with additives

• Flow straightener Ø125 mm also serves as shear protection according to EN 60335-1 standard

Technology and Safety

• PM motor controlled by microprocessor at low voltage 12–24 V
• Speed regulation integrated into the motor (no external controller)
• Thermal protection and automatic shutdown in case of blockage, restart after 20 seconds
• Operates exclusively with original Tunze power supply (ref. 6508.120)
• Power supply lifespan: over 80,000 hours (certified EN60601-1 medical technology)

Mounting and Compatibility

• Integrated clamps for mounting on PVC tube Ø32 mm
• Compatible with Magnet Holder 6508.500 (up to 30 mm glass thickness, optional)
• Recommended accessory: Cable Safe masterstream 6508.600 for splash protection

Usage and Maintenance

• Flow adjustment between 30% and 100% via integrated potentiometer
• Fully compatible with Turbelle Controller, Multicontroller, and SmartController 7000
• Not for use with oscillating flow like wavebox (reserved for model 6580)
• Complete cleaning at least once a year (more frequently in calcareous or loaded water)
• Maximum water temperature: 35 °C
