RO system tubing, reliability and safety of RO water

RO system tubing ensures the transport of water through the various filtration stages, from the incoming water to the production of RO water and the waste stream. Made from materials compatible with drinking water, they guarantee flow without leaching undesirable substances, which is essential in reef aquariums.

Historically, the first domestic reverse osmosis systems used standard tubing, sometimes poorly suited to the pressure or the required purity. With the spread of RO systems in marine aquaristics from the 1990s onward, specific, calibrated, and safe tubing was developed.

Today, these tubes offer excellent pressure resistance, quick “push-fit” connector installation, and great durability. They contribute to reliable RO water production, an essential foundation for a stable and well-controlled reef aquarium.
