Optimize the filtration of your reverse osmosis unit with the ARKA myAQUA 190/380 Fine & Carbon Filter Set Quick-Fit kit. Two pre-filters to remove impurities, reduce chlorine, and protect your reverse osmosis membrane. Discover this practical replacement kit on RecifAtHome.
The ARKA myAQUA 190/380 Fine & Carbon Filter Set Quick-Fit is a set of two pre-filtration cartridges specially designed for ARKA myAQUA 190 and myAQUA 380 reverse osmosis units. This kit combines a polypropylene fine filter and an activated carbon filter to effectively treat tap water before it passes through the reverse osmosis membrane.
Thanks to their Quick-Fit quick-connect fittings, these cartridges make it easy to replace used filters and simplify maintenance of your reverse osmosis unit. Regular use helps preserve filtration performance and extend the life of the membrane.
This pre-filtration system is suitable for preparing RO water for reef aquariums, marine aquariums, and freshwater aquariums.
The first element of the kit is a fine mechanical filter made from high-quality polypropylene filter material.
Its 5-micron filtration rating allows it to retain suspended particles in tap water, including rust residue, sand particles, sediment, and various solid impurities.
This first filtration stage limits particle buildup in the other components of the reverse osmosis unit and helps protect the reverse osmosis membrane from premature clogging.
The second element of the ARKA myAQUA kit is an activated carbon filter cartridge, specially designed to treat unwanted substances present in tap water.
Activated carbon helps reduce in particular:
• Chlorine present in tap water.
• Certain pesticide and herbicide residues.
• Certain medication residues.
• Various unwanted organic compounds.
This stage is particularly important for reverse osmosis units, as chlorine can damage reverse osmosis membranes. The activated carbon filter therefore helps maintain effective and consistent filtration.
The special feature of this ARKA MAFSQ version is its Quick-Fit connections, designed to simplify cartridge replacement.
These quick connectors make it possible to connect compatible tubing without complex assembly. They make routine maintenance easier while ensuring proper connection to the reverse osmosis unit’s water circuit.
The kit is therefore a practical solution for aquarists looking to maintain their ARKA myAQUA 190 or 380 reverse osmosis unit.

To maintain effective pre-filtration and properly protect the reverse osmosis membrane, it is recommended to replace the cartridges regularly depending on their service life and the volume of water treated.
| Cartridge | Replacement interval | Maximum treated volume |
|---|---|---|
| Polypropylene fine filter | Maximum 3 months | 11,000 L |
| Activated carbon filter | Maximum 6 months | 5,500 L |
Important: replacement should be carried out as soon as either of the two limits is reached: service life or volume of water treated. Water with a particularly high impurity load may require more frequent replacement.
The ARKA myAQUA 190/380 Fine & Carbon Filter Set Quick-Fit kit is intended for the following models:
• ARKA myAQUA 190: reverse osmosis unit with a membrane designed for a maximum production of 190 L per day.
• ARKA myAQUA 380: reverse osmosis unit with a membrane designed for a maximum production of 380 L per day.
It may also be suitable for other reverse osmosis systems using compatible cartridges and connections, subject to checking the installation specifications.
Before any intervention, shut off the water supply to the reverse osmosis unit and release any residual pressure in the circuit.
Disconnect the old cartridges, then install the new ARKA filters while respecting the water flow direction indicated on each cartridge.
Make sure the tubing is properly inserted into the Quick-Fit fittings and that all connections are watertight before putting the system back into service.
Perform the initial flushing of the filters according to the manufacturer’s recommendations to remove any fine carbon particles before they reach the membrane.
The kit includes:
• 1 ARKA myAQUA 190/380 fine filter in polypropylene.
• 1 ARKA myAQUA 190/380 activated carbon filter.
• Quick-Fit connections integrated into the cartridges.
The reverse osmosis membrane and the complete reverse osmosis unit are not included in this replacement kit.
The ARKA myAQUA 190/380 Quick-Fit MAFSQ filter kit combines two essential pre-filtration stages in a practical set compatible with ARKA reverse osmosis units.
Its mechanical filter traps solid particles, while its activated carbon helps reduce chlorine and various pollutants present in tap water. The quick connectors make maintenance and cartridge replacement easier.
By regularly replacing these two pre-filters, you help protect the reverse osmosis membrane, maintain the performance of your reverse osmosis unit, and prepare water suited to your aquarium’s needs.
