ATI Essentials Mixed Reef is a highly concentrated two-part system designed for the perfect growth, optimal metabolism, and distinctive coloration of corals in mixed reef aquariums. Developed and refined over the years based on tens of thousands of ICP analyses, it provides you with an advanced, ready-to-use system that is easy to dose and about 5 times more concentrated than traditional Balling.

Composition of the Two Components

#1 KH Complex

Content per canister (2,700 ml): 38,500 °dKH (or 14,250 °dKH/L).
Trace elements: iron, iodine, selenium.
Major elements: fluorine, sulfur.
Effect: nutrient reduction (NO₃/PO₄).

#2 Calcium Complex

Calcium content per canister (2,700 ml): 270,000 mg (or 100,000 mg Ca/L).
Trace elements: cobalt, iron, lithium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, rubidium, vanadium, zinc.
Major elements: boron, bromine, potassium, magnesium, strontium.

Dosage

General rule: dose equal or very similar amounts of both solutions.
Guide per solution: 3 to 7 ml / 100 L / day.
The dosage should compensate for the daily consumption of alkalinity and calcium. Determine this consumption through regular alkalinity and calcium tests (e.g., ATI kits or ATI ICP analyses).

Important Notes

Due to the high concentration, crystals may form in the #1 KH Complex canister at low temperatures.
The crystals disappear by heating the canister in a water bath at around 45 °C or by placing it on a radiator.
For usage temperatures below 20 °C, it is recommended to dilute 1:1 with osmosis water. To maintain identical dosing volumes between #1 and #2, also dilute #2 at a 1:1 ratio.
