Pomacentrus pavo – Biota Farmed Peacock Damselfish
Pomacentrus pavo, also known as the peacock damselfish, is a vivid and striking fish, adorned with an intense metallic blue that catches the light from every angle. This small reef fish is ideal for bringing movement, color, and life to your aquarium, even from 100 liters.
An Active and Resilient Damselfish
Very robust and easy to maintain, Pomacentrus pavo is ideal for both beginner and experienced aquarists. It can be kept alone, in pairs, or in small groups, with care taken to provide a rocky setup with enough hiding places to reduce territorial behaviors.
Ethical Farming by Biota
This fish is farmed by Biota, a pioneering company in sustainable marine aquaculture. Through farming without wild collection, each individual is acclimated from a young age to inert feeding and perfectly adapted to life in a reef aquarium.

Behavior and Compatibility
Pomacentrus pavo is an active and moderately territorial fish. It gets along well with other reef species if the setup is suitable and each individual has its own territory. It can become dominant with other damselfish if space is limited.
