Benefits and Usage
The smooth and spherical grains of this oolitic sand provide a suitable substrate for marine and reef aquariums. It has a high buffering capacity and helps maintain a natural pH of 8.2 without constant chemical additions. According to the manufacturer, 1 kg, approximately 1.5 liters, provides more than 1 million cm² of surface area for bacteria that reduce ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. The absence of silica also helps limit the development of diatoms.

Distribute the sand according to the desired thickness in the tank or refugium. The choice of packaging depends on the volume to be covered and the type of project.
