Ultra Phos is an aluminum-based filtering media designed for the safe removal of phosphates and silicates in marine aquariums. It also removes various undesirable trace elements and permanently binds organic pollutants responsible for water coloration.
As water passes through the media, undesirable substances permanently bind without being released, allowing for precise nutrient control and crystal-clear water.
| Type of Substance | Media Action |
|---|---|
| Phosphates (PO4) | Efficient and safe removal |
| Silicates | Progressive reduction |
| Undesirable Trace Elements | Fixation of barium, arsenic, fluorine, and phosphorus derivatives |
| Organic Pollutants | Permanent fixation without release |
| Water Colorants | Visible water clarification |
| Parameter | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Preparation | Rinse Ultra Phos thoroughly before use |
| Rinsing Behavior | Possible media heating |
| Filtration Type | Dedicated fluidized filter recommended |
| Monitoring | Regular check of PO4 levels |
| Aquarium Volume | Initial Dosage | Maximum Dosage after 14 Days |
|---|---|---|
| 200 L | 50 g | 100 g maximum |
Do not exceed 100 g per 200 L of water. It is not recommended to use Ultra Phos when the PO4 value is below 0.03 mg/L.
| Indicator | Action to Take |
|---|---|
| PO4 Level Rise | Replace Ultra Phos with new media |
