MB 20 3.6 kg Fauna Marin – Ion Exchange Resin for Marine Aquarium
MB 20 Fauna Marin is a mixed bed ion exchange resin designed to produce distilled-type water of very high purity. Used after an osmosis system, it effectively removes residual ions and completely eliminates silicates responsible for diatoms, flatworms, and undesirable cyanobacteria in the marine aquarium.
Main Characteristics
Type of resin: mixed bed demineralization.
Function: complete removal of ions and SiO2.
Usage: post-osmosis system.
Packaging: 3.6 kg.
Benefits and Use
Placed after an osmosis unit, the MB 20 resin captures all remaining ions to produce extremely pure water, free of silica. This purity prevents the long-term development of diatoms, cyanobacteria, and other organisms related to the presence of SiO2. Thanks to its very high binding capacity, MB 20 stands out for its excellent performance and long service life.
Compatibility and Applications
MB 20 is suitable for ion exchange columns, silica filters, and Aqualight filters. It must be installed downstream of an osmosis system to ensure its effectiveness and longevity.
Control and Replacement
The resin should be checked regularly. As soon as the conductivity or hardness of the produced water increases, MB 20 should be replaced. Regenerating this resin is not economically viable.
