MB 20 is a mixed bed demineralization resin designed to produce water of the highest purity, similar to distillate. It effectively removes all residual ions after reverse osmosis, including silica (SiO2).
The removal of silica helps to sustainably inhibit the appearance of diatoms, flatworms, and unwanted cyanobacteria linked to the presence of silicates in osmosis water.
MB 20 is intended for use in ion exchange columns, such as silica filters or Aqualight filters. It should always be installed after a reverse osmosis system.
After osmosis, all remaining ions are removed by the resin, allowing for extremely pure water, comparable to distilled water and completely free of silica.

Thanks to its very high binding capacity, MB 20 is particularly economical to use. It helps maintain a consistent and controlled water quality for the preparation of osmosis water intended for marine aquariums.
It is recommended to regularly check the conductivity or hardness of the output water. In case of a measurable increase, the resin should be replaced.
The regeneration of MB 20 resin is not economically viable and is not recommended.
Do not place directly in the aquarium. Intended only for water treatment. Keep out of reach of children.
