Phos 0.04 is a specific blend of granules designed to remove phosphates as well as yellow compounds responsible for water discoloration. This medium ensures a stable maintenance of phosphates at around 0.04 mg/L without the risk of dropping to 0.00 mg/L, regardless of the amount used.
As water passes through the medium, phosphates and nutrients are durably bound and are not released back into the aquarium. The gradual reduction of nutrients limits the growth of unwanted algae and improves the natural coloration of corals.
