The Nyos Floating Fish Trap uses an innovative principle that allows you to capture fish in the aquarium in a particularly simple, quick, and gentle manner. Its round, compact, and transparent design is quickly accepted by the fish, reducing stress during capture.

Innovative wireless principle

Unlike traditional fish traps requiring manual triggering by string, the Floating Fish Trap operates without a cable. As soon as a fish enters the trap, the magnetic link is automatically released. The air chamber at the entrance then causes a quick rotation of about 90 degrees, instantly floating the trap with the fish inside.

Flexible magnetic attachment

The trap easily attaches to the aquarium glass thanks to its magnetic support. This attachment allows for great freedom of positioning in the aquarium, especially near the surface. This configuration facilitates adding food using the provided pipette.

Tips for catching fish

• Allow time for the fish to get used to the presence of the trap in the aquarium.
• Temporarily turn off the circulation so that the food remains inside the trap.
• Feed exclusively through the trap for a short period.
• For algae-eating fish, attach a sheet of algae to the back of the trap using the magnetic plate.
• Use the pipette to keep the food moving, which attracts more fish.
• For fast fish, wait until they are well inside the trap before triggering.
• Avoid capturing several large fish simultaneously.
• For shy fish, it is possible to attach a string to the magnetic support to trigger the trap remotely.
• If necessary, first remove the dominant fish from the aquarium.
