Fauna Marin Ocean Plankton is composed of Calanus finmarchicus, which is captured and then immediately preserved. The specific fishing area, located in the cold waters of the North Atlantic, ensures high nutritional quality as well as excellent product stability.
The low growth rate of these planktonic organisms in cold, nutrient-poor waters allows for a naturally high concentration of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Calanus finmarchicus feeds on nutritious marine algae, making it an optimal source of proteins and marine oils for fish and corals.
Ocean Plankton contains essential omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA, DHA, and SDA at levels suitable for the needs of reef fish and many corals, contributing to their growth, coloration, and resilience.
