Lysmata wurdemanni – The Aiptasia-Eating Shrimp
The Lysmata wurdemanni, also known as the aiptasia-eating shrimp, is a well-known species in marine aquariums for its ability to naturally eliminate aiptasias, those invasive anemones. It is closely related to Lysmata rathbunae and shares a similar color pattern, which is why they are sometimes grouped under the designation Lysmata rathbunae/wurdemanni.
A Natural Ally Against Aiptasias
For optimal results in combating aiptasias, it is recommended to introduce a group of 4 to 5 shrimp per 300 liters. In a group, they cooperate to effectively attack the invasive anemones.
Note: overfeeding the aquarium can discourage Lysmata wurdemanni from consuming aiptasias. It is better to avoid food clouds like brine shrimp. Use a feeding station and turn off the flow during the distribution.
Things to Know About Adult Specimens
Some adult shrimp may show small visible parasitic crustaceans on their sides. These parasites pose no danger to the aquarium and are naturally eliminated by the shrimp over their molting cycles, without affecting their health or efficiency.

Introduites en quantité de 5, elles tapent les aiptasia de tailles convenable (moins de 1 cm). Une bonne aide une fois les grosses aiptasia éliminé avec une solution chimique.

Parfaitement emballé avec 1 petite grille pour pas être trop secouée. Parties dans le décor après acclimatation.

Jolies mais discrètes
Je ne peux pas décemment mettre 5 étoiles car mes apatasias (8) sont toujours la depuis 1 gros mois. Mais jolies crevettes très discrètes

belle crevette
Super petite crevette un peu timide, prévoir des cavités contre une paroi visible permet de les voir plus souvent. Elles m'ont débarrassé de mes aiptasias en très peu de temps.
