Plectorhinchus chaetodontides is a tropical marine fish that is as fascinating in appearance as it is in behavior. In its juvenile state, it is nicknamed the dancing sweetlips due to its wavy movements and contrasting black and white patterns, resembling a butterfly or a tribal mask in perpetual motion.
Native to the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific, this fish is primarily active during the day. It seeks refuge among live rocks and rocky shelters when stressed, especially when young. As an adult, it undergoes a radical change in appearance, adopting more subdued silver tones, speckled with gray and yellow.
Maintenance Conditions

Behavior and Compatibility
