PhytoBreeder 250 mm 18 L Grotech – plankton reactor for marine aquarium

The PhytoBreeder 250 Grotech is a plankton reactor designed to allow controlled reproduction of phytoplankton in marine aquariums. Its increased volume makes it particularly suitable for reef aquariums that require a regular and substantial supply of live plankton.

Operating Principle

Under optimal conditions, up to 30% of the PhytoBreeder's volume can be harvested daily. This capacity allows significant daily production of phytoplankton, which can be directly injected into the reef aquarium. The harvesting process can be automated using a compatible control system.

The design of the PhytoBreeder 250 allows for stable culture conditions, promoting regular phytoplankton growth.

Lighting and Design

The light source is integrated directly into the culture chamber, optimizing the use of light energy for photosynthesis. The removable lid has been replaced with a 110 mm screw cap, allowing easy opening and ensuring complete pressure-tight sealing.

Included Equipment

The PhytoBreeder 250 comes with a magnetic stirrer, necessary connectors, an integrated lighting unit, as well as PhytoStart and PhytoFood for starting and maintaining the culture.
