Hydra Edge 68 LED for Reef Aquarium
The Aqua Illumination Hydra Edge 68HD redefines marine aquarium lighting by combining high power of 135 W with an ultra-thin design. Designed to combine the advantages of a point light source and wide diffusion, it offers a natural, homogeneous, and visually spectacular rendering for demanding reef aquariums.
Thanks to EdgeField™ technology, the distribution of PAR is uniform across the entire tank surface, while the integrated Solar Ring generates controllable shimmer that highlights the depth and relief of the reef.

Integrated Technologies
The EdgeField™ Optics technology ensures even diffusion with a wide angle, allowing for smooth color blending and uniform coverage without shadow zones or hotspots.
The Solar Blue spectrum is developed from years of reef expertise to replicate the natural light of shallow reefs. It enhances the fluorescence of corals and promotes their growth, while being simple to configure.
The Solar Ring, composed of white and warm white LEDs, creates an adjustable shimmer and caustic effect to enhance the visual aspect of the aquarium.
HyperDrive technology intelligently redistributes energy between different LED channels to optimize light performance without losing efficiency.
A dedicated Moonlight channel, based on a 2300 K LED, allows for the simulation of soft moonlight and observing nocturnal fauna without disturbing the balance of the tank.
Recommended Light Coverage
The Hydra Edge 68HD can illuminate a surface up to 76 × 76 cm when installed approximately 23 cm above the water. For aquariums heavily populated with hard corals, a smaller surface of 60 × 60 cm or the addition of multiple fixtures is recommended to ensure optimal PAR.
Control and Programming
The fixture is controllable via the Mobius and myAI apps, as well as through the MXM module for Apex Fusion. It offers complete 24-hour programming, with sunrise and sunset simulation, lunar cycle management, and various operating modes.
Installation and Design
Its ultra-thin and discreet profile elegantly integrates above the aquarium. The optimized heat sink ensures efficient and silent cooling. Several mounting options are available, such as a tiltable stand, suspension kit, or HMS arm, offered separately.
