Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic Sea Salt is an innovative reef sea salt that combines probiotic bacteria with specific prebiotic nutrition. This so-called synbiotic combination actively supports the aquarium's microbiology and creates low-nutrient conditions particularly favorable to LPS and SPS corals.

Probiotic bacteria have a demonstrated positive effect on the health, well-being, and stress resistance of fish and shrimp. Prebiotic substances promote the incorporation of nitrates and phosphates into the bacterial biomass, contributing to more stable water and more intense coral colors.

This salt is perfectly suited for setting up a new reef aquarium, restocking, and continuous use during water changes to maintain stable and functional microbiology.

The Syn-Biotic sea salt contains all the main chemical elements and trace elements of tropical seawater in their natural proportions, along with probiotic bacteria and dedicated prebiotic nutrition.

Application and Dosage

To achieve a salinity between 32 and 35 ‰, dissolve approximately 35 ml, or 37 to 40 g, of Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic per liter of water while stirring. The relative density of the saline solution should be between 1.025 and 1.027 at a temperature of 25 °C.

The seawater is usable once the salt is fully dissolved and the solution is clear.

A weekly water change of up to 10% with Tropic Marin Syn-Biotic helps maintain optimal water quality and stable microbiology in the long term.

Important Notes

When measuring salinity with a conductimeter, a value approximately 10% lower than the actual salinity may be observed. It is recommended to measure density using a Tropic Marin densimeter.
