Nyos PURE contains pure pharmaceutical-grade ingredients. The sodium chloride is purified through a multi-step process, making it purer than salts obtained by evaporating seawater. Some ingredients are also used in medical techniques, particularly for dialysis.

Contrary to popular belief, the most expensive ingredients in sea salt blends are not the trace elements, but the calcium and magnesium compounds. Nyos PURE uses high-quality salts for these components.

Thanks to this purity, Nyos PURE has a low content of undesirable substances such as manganese, copper, aluminum, or other heavy metals, which has a positive effect on the development of corals, fish and invertebrates.

Crystalline dissolution

Nyos PURE dissolves in a crystalline manner, without the yellow coloration of water associated with organic impurities. During dissolution, the salt hardly presents any insoluble white or black particles. The mixing container stays clean longer, reducing the frequency of cleaning related to deposits.

Rapid solubility

Thanks to the purity of the ingredients and a small particle size, Nyos PURE dissolves after approximately 5 minutes at room temperature.

Quick use

Prepared seawater with Nyos PURE can be used after a few minutes. The maturation sometimes recommended corresponds to the precipitation of impurities into insoluble compounds, which is not necessary with Nyos PURE.

Specific mixing process

A mixing process used in the food and pharmaceutical sectors ensures consistent batch quality and high homogeneity of the mixture.

Particle size adjusted

The harmonized particle size of the ingredients limits demixing in the bucket.

The growth of SPS, LPS polyps and soft corals is announced as improved day and night.

Color formation

Corals exhibit better color formation and sharper color separations.

Growth stimulation

The use of Nyos PURE is associated with an increased formation of growth points. The hard corals Acropora types are mentioned as being capable of forming basalt discs in a very short time.

Long-term stability

With certain salts at excessively high concentrations, storing fresh seawater can lead to the precipitation of calcium, KH, and magnesium as insoluble compounds, generating a white precipitate. The values of Nyos PURE being indicated within a normal range, this effect is announced as limited, allowing for extended storage.

Organic additives

Organic additives in salt can promote undesirable algae growth and the development of cyanobacteria during large water changes or a new setup. Nyos PURE does not contain organic additives.

Batch control and dosing

Each batch of Nyos PURE is controlled and documented by ICP analysis. The exact main values of each batch are indicated on each bucket and can also be viewed online.

To achieve a salinity of 34 ‰ or 35 ‰, the indicated dosage is 39 g or 40 g of Nyos PURE per liter.

Nyos PURE does not contain excessive levels of calcium, magnesium, and KH. Even during larger water changes, the main values are stated not to rise excessively in the aquarium.
