The Nano-Tech Bio-Spheres are carefully manufactured to ensure optimal quality and porous structure, thereby effectively controlling the quality and stability of the water column.

Each Nano-Tech Bio-Sphere has up to 54 m² (580ft²) of surface area for the establishment of bacterial colonies.

The Nano-Tech Bio-Spheres excel in establishing bacterial colonies in the form of bio-nano composite films. They allow different species of bacteria and fungi, such as nitrifying bacteria, yeasts, phototrophic prokaryotes, etc., to grow on their large surface without decomposing them.

To facilitate maintenance and save space for other equipment, we advise placing the Nano-Tech Bio-Spheres in a textile filter before putting them in your tank.

Replacing the Nano-Tech Bio-Spheres

For optimal efficiency, the Nano-Tech Bio-Spheres/Bio-Block should be cleaned or replaced every 6 months. However, when cleaning or replacing them, DO NOT change them all at once. Clean or replace only half so that there are enough bacterial colonies left to develop in the freshly cleaned or replaced Bio-Spheres/Bio-Block.
