Nano-Tech Phosphree Maxspect is a chemically stable polymer resin designed for the gradual and safe removal of phosphates in marine and reef aquariums. Unlike metal-based absorbents, it does not release any metallic ions into the water column.
Granular ferric oxide (GFO) media can cloud the water and release fine dark particles into the aquarium. Nano-Tech Phosphree helps maintain clear and clean water without releasing undesirable particles.
Too rapid a reduction of phosphates can cause significant stress in corals and, in some cases, lead to rapid tissue necrosis (RTN). Nano-Tech Phosphree is formulated to absorb phosphates at a slower and controlled pace, allowing corals to gradually adapt to the decrease in nutrients.
Place Nano-Tech Phosphree in a filter bag suitable for filter media.
Do not completely fill the bag and leave about 25 to 30% of free space to allow the resin to swell once immersed.
For optimal effectiveness, position the bag in the technical tank or sump, in an area with medium to high flow.
After opening, keep the resin moist to prolong its shelf life. It is recommended to periodically spray a little reverse osmosis (RO) water into the container.
250 ml of Nano-Tech Phosphree can eliminate up to 3 ppm of phosphate in a 1000-liter marine or reef aquarium.
