Nano-Tech Phosphree Maxspect is a chemically stable polymer resin designed for the gradual removal of phosphates in marine and reef aquariums. Unlike metal-based absorbents, it does not release any metallic ions into the water column.
Granular Ferric Oxide (GFO) based media can cloud the water and release fine dark particles into the aquarium. Nano-Tech Phosphree helps maintain clear and transparent water without the diffusion of unwanted particles.
A rapid decrease in phosphates can cause stress in corals and, in some cases, lead to rapid tissue necrosis (RTN). Nano-Tech Phosphree is designed to absorb phosphates at a slow and controlled rate, allowing corals to gradually adapt to the reduction in nutrients.
Place Nano-Tech Phosphree in a textile filter bag suitable for filter media.
Do not completely fill the bag and leave about 25 to 30% of free space to allow the resin to expand once immersed.
For optimal efficiency, position the bag in the sump or technical tank in an area with medium to high flow.
After opening, keep the resin moist to extend its shelf life. It is recommended to periodically spray a little reverse osmosis (RO) water into the container.
250 ml can remove up to 3 ppm of phosphate in a 1000-liter marine or reef aquarium.
The 500 ml packaging can therefore treat a doubled volume or a higher phosphate load.
