Capture the true colors and fluorescence of your corals with the Maxspect TrueReef Filter Lens Sunset Boulevard for iPhone.

Maxspect TrueReef Filter Lens Sunset Boulevard for iPhone

The Maxspect TrueReef Filter Lens Sunset Boulevard is a filter lens designed to more faithfully photograph corals under blue reef lighting. It helps reproduce their true colors while preserving the fluorescent glow that makes each coral unique.

Thanks to this filter lens for iPhone, photos taken in a reef aquarium show colors that are more natural, brighter, and closer to what you see directly in front of the tank.

A simple and practical magnetic attachment

The Maxspect TrueReef Filter Lens attaches easily to the back of compatible iPhone models thanks to its magnetic system. This quick installation ensures a secure and convenient position before every shot.

Its design makes it easy to quickly set up the filter lens when you want to photograph a coral, record a video, or showcase the progress of your reef aquarium.

A lens with a blue monomer coating

Maxspect has developed a filter lens featuring a blue monomer coating. This technology was selected to filter part of the HEV blue light without removing the fluorescent glow produced by near-ultraviolet light.

Unlike classic acrylic filter lenses, lenses with a monomer coating have a much lighter yellow tint. The coating reflects part of the HEV blue light while preserving a significant amount of near-ultraviolet light.

Preserving coral fluorescence

A significant portion of the light around 420 nm and below is preserved. This light range contributes to the fluorescent effect often called the “pop” in reef aquariums.

The Maxspect TrueReef Filter Lens Sunset Boulevard therefore makes it possible to photograph colorful, vibrant corals without losing their fluorescent highlights. Green, orange, red, yellow, blue, or purple pigments remain more visible in photos taken under reef lighting.

More accurate photos under blue lighting

Blue lighting used in reef aquariums can create a strong blue cast in photos taken with a smartphone. This cast can sometimes make coral colors difficult to distinguish.

The Maxspect TrueReef Sunset Boulevard filter lens reduces this cast while maintaining fluorescence. It makes it easier to capture more balanced photos with a more faithful rendering of coral colors and brilliance.

Use: coral photography and video under blue reef lighting.

Attachment: magnetic system for compatible iPhone models.

Technology: blue monomer coating.

Purpose: reduction of HEV blue light and preservation of fluorescence.

Why use the Maxspect TrueReef Filter Lens?

This filter lens is especially suited for aquarists who want to photograph their corals with an iPhone. It helps document their growth, coloration, and fluorescence with a result that more accurately reflects their real appearance in the aquarium.

It is also suitable for creating content for social media, reef aquarium presentations, or regular photographic monitoring of corals.

Before taking a photo, carefully position the lens in front of the iPhone camera and check its alignment. The final result may also vary depending on lighting intensity, smartphone settings, and the distance between the camera and the coral.
