Pseudechidna brummeri, commonly known as the white ribbon moray, is a rare and fascinating snake-like species, prized in marine aquariums for its unique appearance and undulating swimming. This moray is distinguished by its slender, pearly white body, which can exceed 80 cm when adult, with a tapered head and a ribbon-shaped snout.
Native to the Indo-Pacific, it inhabits reef areas, where it weaves between rocks to hunt its prey at night. It is primarily nocturnal, discreet during the day, and very active at dusk.
Pseudechidna brummeri is a peaceful moray towards species of equivalent or larger size, but it may prey on small fish and invertebrates. Therefore, it is preferable not to keep it with shrimps, gobies, or small fish.
