RAH Leptastrea Burning Amber
A flamboyant and compact LPS coral
The RAH Leptastrea Burning Amber is an exclusive strain cultivated at RécifAtHome, chosen for its intense and contrasting pattern. It features a deep burnt orange base with neon green mouths that react strongly to actinic lighting, creating a striking incandescent effect.
An encrusting coral perfect for difficult areas
Thanks to its flat and dense growth, this Leptastrea is ideal for covering low areas, rock ledges, or even vertical zones. It grows slowly but forms a highly textured colorful carpet, perfect for adding detail to the reef decor.
Ideal conditions for intense coloration
Lighting and flow
A moderate to strong lighting (between 150 and 250 PAR) is recommended to maintain its deep orange hues and bright green eyes. A moderate flow is sufficient to ensure good oxygenation without disturbing its delicate tissues.
Water parameters
Like all plate-growing LPS, the Leptastrea Burning Amber requires stable and well-balanced water:
- Temperature: 24–26 °C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0–8.4
- KH: 7–9 dKH
- Calcium: 420–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm
- Nitrates: 2–10 mg/L
- Phosphates: 0.02–0.08 mg/L
