Tubipora musica - Size S
A coral with a unique appearance
The Tubipora musica, also known as organ pipe coral, is a very distinctive coral. It is characterized by its rigid structure formed by parallel tubes, reminiscent of organ pipes, topped with thin and feathery polyps in shades of reddish-brown to purple. This contrast between the rigidity of the skeleton and the softness of the polyps creates a visually original and soothing effect.
A small size for an immediate decorative impact
In size S, this coral is perfectly suited for nano reefs or targeted areas in a large aquarium. Its vertical colony growth allows it to quickly add height and depth to your reef decor without taking up too much space.
Ideal conditions for beautiful polyp expansion
Lighting and water flow
The Tubipora musica prefers moderate lighting (90–150 PAR) and gentle to moderate water flow. A current that is too strong could prevent the polyps from fully opening, while a light current will make them sway gracefully.

This soft coral needs stable and well-balanced water to thrive:

- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0–8.4
- KH: 7–9 dKH
- Calcium: 420–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm
- Nitrates: 2–10 mg/L
- Phosphates: 0.02–0.08 mg/L
