Nannochloropsis sp – Live Food 90 ml Non-Centrifuged

Nannochloropsis sp is a marine unicellular microalgae among the most used in aquaculture. This live culture is packaged in a 90 ml bottle and harvested less than 24 hours before shipping, without centrifugation, to preserve its full nutritional richness.

Its microscopic size of about 0.5 micrometers allows it to effectively feed copepods, rotifers, bivalves, larvae, crustaceans, and reef microfauna.

Nutritional Benefits

Nannochloropsis sp is naturally rich in proteins and essential fatty acids, particularly omega-3 type EPA. It also contains natural pigments such as beta-carotene, zeaxanthin, and violaxanthin, as well as essential vitamins and minerals.

This microalgae helps strengthen the vitality of filter and larval organisms and is an ideal base for enriching cultures of rotifers and microfauna.

Use in Aquariums

The recommended dosage is about 10 ml per 100 liters of aquarium water.

The microalgae can be poured directly into the aquarium, preferably in low-flow areas.

The product should be stored in the refrigerator between 4 and 6 °C, away from light.

It is particularly suitable for refuges and aquariums in the start-up phase, where it helps establish a stable microfauna.

Starting and Maintaining a Culture

This bottle can also be used as a starter culture for phytoplankton cultivation.

Simply double the initial volume with sterile seawater enriched with a Guillard F/2 type medium, maintain a temperature close to 19 °C, and ensure continuous aeration with filtered air.

A photoperiod of 18 hours out of 24 is recommended. The volume can then be gradually increased as the culture becomes denser.

Nannochloropsis occulata is particularly recommended for stabilizing young reef systems and enhancing biodiversity from the start.

Why Choose Nannochloropsis sp RAH

Nannochloropsis sp RAH is fresh, live, and non-centrifuged marine microalgae, compatible with both direct aquarium use and zooplankton culture or enrichment.

It provides a natural and effective solution for feeding the base of the reef food chain and is perfectly suited for refuges, filter organisms, and soft corals.

Nannochloropsis sp in a 90 ml bottle is a versatile and sustainable live food, ideal for maintaining a balanced and biologically rich reef environment.
