The Green and Red Oxypora is a fascinating LPS coral, known for its thin, wavy plate-like appearance and vibrant colors. It features a striking green background punctuated by red, orange, or purple areas depending on the strain, creating a stunning visual effect under blue lighting.

Thanks to its surface growth and natural reliefs, this Oxypora is perfect for covering flat or rounded areas of a reef, bringing a living texture and a constant play of light. It spreads gently and forms very aesthetic natural curves.
Ideal Conditions to Preserve its Colors
Lighting and Water Flow
Moderate to strong lighting (120–250 PAR) is recommended to enhance the green fluorescence and highlight the red contrasts. Gentle to moderate water flow is sufficient to prevent deposits without disturbing its sensitive tissues.

The Green and Red Oxypora requires stable and well-balanced water to maintain its full brilliance:
- Temperature: 24–26 °C
- Salinity: 35 ppt (1.025)
- pH: 8.0–8.4
- KH: 7–9 dKH
- Calcium: 420–450 ppm
- Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm
- Nitrates: 2–10 mg/L
- Phosphates: 0.02–0.08 mg/L
