A compact, vibrant, and decorative encrusting coral
The Pachyclavularia viridis is a highly appreciated encrusting soft coral for its ease of maintenance and lively appearance. This size S specimen of 3 cm is perfect for beginners or to introduce a touch of fluorescent green into a rocky area of the reef tank.
A living carpet with natural movement
Each star-shaped polyp of this Pachyclavularia is topped with a bright fluorescent green tip that beautifully captures blue light. Under the effect of the current, the polyps continuously move, creating a very aesthetic fluid and natural effect.
Easy to maintain and propagate
This coral is photosynthetic thanks to its zooxanthellae and requires no additional feeding. It slowly spreads over the substrate and can be easily propagated to cover other areas using fragments attached to rocks or plugs.
Lighting and water flow
Low to moderate lighting is sufficient to bring out its colors. A medium water flow is recommended to make the polyps sway and prevent sediment deposits between the tissues.
