Tropic Marin Carbon activated carbon for aquarium

Only water free from yellow coloration allows light to pass through the aquarium without filter and reveal the natural colors of the corals, plants, and fish.

Tropic Marin Carbon is a highly efficient activated carbon, with a high absorption capacity for the substances responsible for yellow hues and for various harmful substances dissolved in the water.

Rapid improvement of water quality

Compared to many conventional activated carbons, Tropic Marin Carbon releases very low amounts of phosphates and silicates. The rapid elimination of yellow colorations visibly improves the appearance and composition of the water.

With better brightness in the aquarium, organisms benefit from more natural lighting conditions, and their colors become fully visible again.

Aquarium compatibility

The product is suitable for both saltwater and freshwater aquariums.

This activated carbon effectively removes yellow hues and harmful substances, while ensuring excellent brightness in the aquarium. Its formulation limits the release of phosphates and silicates compared to other activated carbons.

Application and dosage

The recommended dosage is 0.5 g of Tropic Marin Carbon per liter of aquarium volume. As a guide, 400 g of carbon is sufficient for an 800 L aquarium.

The carbon can be used long-term or occasionally in a filter.

Long-term use

For continuous use, it is recommended to filter about 1% of the aquarium volume per hour through the activated carbon. The Tropic Marin Carbon should be replaced after about 8 weeks of use.

Occasional use

The carbon can also be used for a short duration, for example after administering medications, in a fast-flow filter for 1 to 3 days to remove harmful substances present in the water.
