Cerianthus sp. – Cylinder Anemone for Reef Aquarium
The Cerianthus sp., also known as the cylinder anemone, is a fascinating anemone distinguished by its tubular body buried in sand or loose substrates. Unlike classic anemones, it does not need a rocky support to anchor itself. It attaches vertically and extends its long colorful tentacles to capture particles and prey in the water column.
A Decorative and Functional Presence
This anemone offers a beautiful visual dynamic to your reef aquarium. Its tentacles, often fluorescent or multicolored, move with the current and draw attention. Feeding
Although it naturally captures suspended microorganisms, this anemone will appreciate regular feeding with small prey such as:

- Finely chopped mysis
- Liquid plankton
Compatibility and Behavior
Cerianthus sp. is harmless to fish and does not form a symbiosis with Amphiprions like other anemones. It should be placed at a certain distance from corals or fixed invertebrates, as its stinging tentacles can cause damage if in prolonged contact.
