The Medium Hydrocarbonate Aqua Medic is a pure natural substrate based on calcium carbonate, specially designed for calcium reactors, hardening filters, and biofilters. Thanks to its medium granulometry of 4 to 6 mm, it is particularly suitable for systems requiring an optimal contact surface for effective dissolution.

Recommended Applications

This substrate is ideal for:

  • Calcium reactors supplied with CO₂, where it completely dissolves into calcium bicarbonate.
  • Hardening filters to increase water hardness.
  • Biofilters in marine aquariums, as well as in Malawi and Tanganyika tanks.
