Fine Hydrocarbonat Aqua Medic – 15 L / 21 kg Bucket (grain size 1–2 mm)

The Fine Hydrocarbonat Aqua Medic is a pure natural substrate made from calcium carbonate, specially designed for calcium reactors, hardening filters, and biofilters. With its fine grain size of 1 to 2 mm, it is particularly suited for systems requiring a high contact surface for effective dissolution.

Recommended Applications

This substrate is ideal for:

  • Calcium reactors supplied with CO₂, where it completely dissolves into calcium bicarbonate.
  • Hardening filters to increase water hardness.
  • Biofilters in seawater aquariums, as well as Malawi and Tanganyika tanks.

Advantages

  • Maintains a stable alkaline pH, essential for the health of fish and corals.
  • Creates a natural calcium/carbonic acid balance in the aquarium.
  • Promotes complete dissolution in calcium reactors, ensuring optimal availability of calcium.

Technical Characteristics

  • Grain size: fine (1–2 mm)
  • Volume: 15 liters
  • Weight: 21 kg
  • Composition: pure natural calcium carbonate

Usage Tips

For optimal efficiency, lightly rinse the substrate before use to remove fine particles. Replace the substrate according to the specific needs of your system, based on calcium consumption and pH stability.
