The Medium Hydrocarbonate Aqua Medic is a pure natural substrate made from calcium carbonate, specifically designed for calcium reactors, hardening filters, and biofilters. Thanks to its medium grain size of 4 to 6 mm, it is particularly suitable for systems requiring optimal contact surface for effective dissolution.
Recommended Applications
This substrate is ideal for:
- Calcium reactors supplied with CO₂, where it completely dissolves into calcium bicarbonate.
- Hardening filters to increase water hardness.
- Biofilters in marine aquariums, as well as in Malawi and Tanganyika tanks.
