Zeopure effectively adsorbs ammonium and ammonia before their transformation into nitrites and then nitrates in the nitrification chain. This action allows for a biological and secure reduction of nitrate levels in the aquarium.

Pollutants already present, such as phosphates, are also reduced and eliminated by abrasion, notably via the skimmer or mechanical filter media. This action helps to sustainably limit the undesirable growth of algae.
