ATI Carbo Ex Air Filter 4 Liters – CO2 Air Filter for protein skimmer

ATI Carbo Ex Air Filter is an air filtration system designed to eliminate carbon dioxide present in the air drawn in by protein skimmers. It can be used in a filter like Skim Breeze or equivalent, directly connected to the air intake of the skimmer.

Reducing CO2 in the incoming air allows a natural increase in the aquarium's pH, generally between 0.2 and 0.3 points, depending on ambient conditions and tank setup.

Effect on pH in Reef Aquariums

CO2-laden ambient air can lead to a chronic drop in pH in reef aquariums. ATI Carbo Ex Air Filter helps limit this influence and maintain a more stable and favorable pH for marine organisms.

A stabilized pH promotes the growth and vitality of corals and helps reduce the growth of undesirable algae.

Usage and Installation

ATI Carbo Ex Air Filter is used exclusively for filtering the air entering the skimmers.

It should never be used directly in the aquarium water.

Open the Carbo Ex, then connect the skimmer's air intake to the central tube of the Carbo Ex filter.
