Kalkwasser / Calcium Hydroxide 1000 g Fauna Marin – Calcium Supplement for Marine Aquarium
Kalkwasser, or calcium hydroxide, is used to support calcium and carbonate hardness levels in marine aquariums. This method contributes to pH stability and promotes the growth of soft corals.
Preparation Instructions
Dilute about 7 to 10 g of calcium hydroxide in 10 L of osmosis water. Let it sit for several hours in a closed container until a clear liquid, called kalkwasser, is obtained. This solution is then added slowly, preferably drop by drop, into the aquarium.
Usage Tips
It is recommended to use a kalkwasser reactor or a dosing pump for gradual introduction of the solution into the sump, to ensure regular and controlled diffusion.
