Discus Buffer is a buffer designed to lower and maintain the pH within a range of 5.8 to 6.8, corresponding to the ideal natural conditions for discus. It also helps soften the water by reducing general hardness.

Discus Buffer works by maintaining a low and stable pH while softening the water through the precipitation of calcium and magnesium. This combination helps to approximate the physicochemical conditions found in the natural biotopes of discus.

Combined Use

Discus Buffer can be used alone or in combination with Neutral Regulator to achieve a precise pH value during water changes or the addition of osmosis water. This method is particularly suited to waters with low buffering capacity, such as osmosis water.

After using Discus Buffer, trace elements can be supplemented with an appropriate supplement to maintain optimal balance.

Safety and Compatibility

The formulation contains phosphate buffers and conditioning agents. The product is safe for all freshwater fish properly acclimated to an acidic pH.
