Origin and Breeding RecifAtHome
The Gobiodon okinawae offered here are bred by the French facility RecifAtHome. Born and raised in our specialized facilities, they are accustomed from a young age to life in a reef aquarium and are not sourced from the wild. Their acclimatization is therefore quick, stable, and suited to modern aquariums.
Species Description
Gobiodon okinawae is a small reef fish recognizable by its intense and uniform lemon-yellow color. Without patterns or mottling, it brings a much-appreciated bright touch to a marine aquarium. Its small size makes it compatible with moderately-sized aquariums as well as larger setups.
Behavior and Life Among Corals
This goby spends most of its time among the branches of hard corals, particularly Acropora. It slips in to rest, protect itself, or observe the tank. It may sometimes consume very fine polyps, but this has no notable consequence on healthy colonies.
Calm, discreet, and territorial without marked aggressiveness, Gobiodon okinawae is perfectly suited for peaceful reef aquariums.
Recommended Maintenance Conditions
Gobiodon okinawae can be kept in an aquarium of about 80 liters or more. A temperature between 24°C and 28°C is ideal for it. The presence of branching hard corals is essential for its well-being, providing structure and natural refuge areas.
Feeding
