Description
The Hanna Checker® for low-range nitrates in seawater (ppm) is a good compromise between choosing simple chemical test kits and professional-quality instrumentation. Chemical test kits have limited accuracy and resolution because they are based on distinguishing color differences perceived by the human eye.
Professional quality instrumentation includes a light source composed of a LED or a tungsten lamp with a filter and a light detector to accurately determine the absorbance and concentration of ions. Professional tools offer superior resolution and precision but can cost hundreds of euros.
The Checker ® Hanna for Nitrates in seawater, it measures the nitrate value in ppm and uses an LED source with a fixed wavelength and a silicon photoelectric cell to ensure the accuracy of professional equipment at the affordable price of a chemical test kit.
Nitrate is a byproduct of the nitrogen cycle. Excessive amounts of nitrates in a reef aquarium can promote the growth of undesirable organisms, including algae and dinoflagellates, while insufficient amounts can lead to problems for SPS and other organisms. corals, including the loss of color and the appearance of paleness.

Le Top pour les test
Apres plusieurs mois d'utilisation sur différents modèles de la marque Hanna, je dois avouer que je suis accro à ce genre de test, produit de qualité, fiable, dans une belle boite pour le stockage, le prix est plus que raisonnable, et je trouve que cela vaut largement quelques euros de plus par rapport à des tests dit classique, personnellement je pense que ce genre de produit doit faire parti du kit de l'aquariophile soucieux de la qualité d'eau de son bac !!
