General Description

These pre-measured reagents facilitate obtaining precise and reproducible results. They follow the DPD method, in which the reaction between iodine and the reagent generates a pink hue measured optically by the photometer.

Details and Operation

The user simply adds an HI718-25 packet to the sample to be analyzed. The colorimetric reaction then occurs, allowing the HI718 photometer to determine the iodine concentration from the intensity of the hue produced.

The results are displayed in ppm (mg/L) of iodine, for samples with an expected range between 0.0 and 12.5 ppm.
